Located just outside of Chattanooga TN at the Highlands Riding Center, Hixson Therapeutic Riding Program is a non-profit organization that was started in 2009. At the Highlands Riding Center, we offer a variety of services and strive to create a close-knit community that fosters a fun and safe learning environment. We offer several lesson options for riders of all levels including therapy. We have discovered that through a relationship with horses, students discover skills such as commitment, hard work, leadership, confidence and awareness as well as harmony, balance, courage, and accomplishment. Horses offer us the ability to look inside ourselves and experience a whole new level of being. HTRP encourages you to come out and discover the power these magnificent animals hold.

We Have Moved!!

We have moved to a new location!  We are extremely excited to partner with Church of the Highlands in Harrison, TN.  Our new location is where the Old Camp Joy was at 6621 Hunter Rd, Harrison, TN. Currently, we are working on our 100 x 200' arena and large pasture.  We are extremely thankful to everyone that has donated material and time in order for us to move to this new location.  Please keep checking back here for updates on our progress!
